// DESCRIPTION

Because the slalom-race in foil doesn’t suffer from any compromises, we created the Gold Foil.

Designed to transcend the performance of your race foils, the new XO Sails Gold Foil 2022 will provide all the necessary resources for all points of sailing, and especially at close upwind or downwind.

This latest version opens more on the top of the sail with more luff roundand a lowered border. With a change in the angle of the top battens, the new Gold Foil develops a little less power in the low end but holds up much better in the max. The range of use is extended. With a minimal drag and a high flight stability, performances are optimized.

Just like on the Gold, we have used the new screen material, the Pentex, which, when used on the sleeve, gives flexibility to the sail while allowing a weight gain of 15 to 20% without sacrificing strength.

The Gold Foil has been designed on SDM masts for better control and speed. The leech tension is limited because the Gold Foil has been designed to keep a lot of shape at the top of the sail to improve control, take off and glide in light wind.
